Not your average Friday night.
Join us for a fun filled evening with featuring excellent food, open bar, and live music as we remember the vulnerable children in the Linda Community of Livingstone, Zambia, Africa and provide resource for the continued training of leaders in the developing world.
The 2019 LHI Gala is September 13, 6:30-9:30!
It will be a fantastic night of fun and great music to raise funds for the education of some of the poorest children in the world, living in villages outside Victoria Falls. We have been supporting the commuity school in this area to help children in the most desparate situations with food, clothing, and education. Our desire is continue educating these children so that they might have an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty in their families.
Many of the children we support will be the first of their families to ever receive a high school diploma!
Linda community is full of bright children, who aspire to become doctors, teachers, and business professionals.
We want to help them realize their dreams so that they can make their community as beautiful as Victoria Falls down the road.
Our pressing need now is that the children's schooling is being halted when they reach middle school because of a lack of facilites and teachers. Our 2019 LHI Gala has set a goal to raise $50,000 as we continue with the beginning phases of building a NGO high school to meet this need. The vision for the school is to be able to gift a free eduation to the next generation of Zambians, that they would in turn give back to the community to make their country safer and more stable.
In addition to this helping Linda community, Gala donations will assist families in the impoverished areas through future Living Hope initiatives in Guatemala, Zimbabwe, India, and Pakistan! In all these places we are working to help the vulnerable and train community leaders. Join us as we are creating a difference.....one community at a time!
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., join us for a cocktail hour featuring an open bar and, for a small donation, our signature drink the "Rusty Gate." This drink has been created specifically for the Gala by Russo's expert bar tenders. In jazz, a "Rusty Gate" is a person who doesn't play an instrument but wants to support the band. We at Living Hope know that you might not personally meet one of the vulnerable kids we help. But, without your support, without you partnering with us, we wouldn't be able to come alongside the children who are in the most need or train leaders that will make a difference for them tomorrow. Thank you for your support!
Russo's will be serving heavy hor d'oevres throughout the evening.
Tickets cost $100
Enjoy live music by St. Louis' own National Blues Museum Band while socializing around heavy hors d'oeuvres and exciting games. Cocktail attire is recommended.
